EXECUTIVE SUMMARY Based on the case of Bahfen and Associates, 3 major problems have been identified, in which are, a lack of motivation, leadership problems and poor communication. In order to increase the lack of motivation it is suggested that a reward system designed to encourage employees to meet individual goals. For the leadership problems, it has been identified that a telling approach is in use; therefore it is vital that Yong Lee adopts a new leadership style. Lastly, the company’s poor communication can be increased by holding informal gatherings to encourage two-way communications. 1. PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION AND ANALYSIS It is has become increasingly apparent that under the current management of Yong Lee, employees are suffering from a lack of motivation, as a result this has both increased the level of negative corporate culture and staff turnover. 1.1 Lack of motivation Under the leadership of Yong Lee, employees have blatantly expressed their concern for the amount of work they receive in contrast to the recognition they get for it. Also, many employees feel like there is no room for advancement in the company, it is therefore no surprise motivation levels are decreasing. ....
