Your report should address the following questions I. Risk Analysis (10 marks) Investing in any business entails an in-depth analysis of the performance and risk of the target before the investment. When investing in FIs, investors have to overcome significant asymmetric information problem because financial assets are intangible and their values depend crucially on information. However, the FI usually knows more about the value of their assets than outside investors. It is not an easy job to identify whether the FI has got a solid risk management in different aspects. For each of the risk topics including a) Interest Rate Risk, b) Credit Risk, and c) Capital Adequacy, you and your team is expected to address the following questions: 1) According to your evaluation, what is the approximate risk level from the Commonwealth Bank 2019 annual report? What are the main strategies that CBA has used to control/manage the risk level? 2) Compared to the previous year, do you think CBA has had a better management in each of the risk area? 3) Any suggestions/improvements you could make for the risk management strategies in CBA?
