Financial statement analysis is an integral part of an analyst’s report. It is a way to forecast future performance and identify weaknesses and problem areas of a firm. In this report, financial analysis will be provided for ANZ and NAB. Comparison the performance of ANZ bank and NAB bank, the reasons for the differences in their performance, and forecast of the relative performance of their stocks over year 2013 will be given. This report is separated into four parts. Firstly, it is need to compare of current year performance and change in performance since 2007. Secondly, it is needed to analyse the reasons that drive the differences in current and change in performance over time between the two banks. Thirdly, An analysis of what these differences tell you about the future profit growth and the weaknesses and problems areas of the two banks will be examined. Lastly, a forecast for the relative stock performance of ANZ bank and NAB bank in 2013 based on previous analysis will be provided.
